How We Handle Your Information
We collect only what we need to fulfill your orders, improve your experience, and communicate with you. We don't sell your personal information. We don't share it with anyone who doesn't need it to serve you. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
Who We Are
Merus Protocol is a brand operated by Vici Syndicate LLC, registered in Casper, Wyoming, United States. When this policy refers to "we," "us," or "our," it means Vici Syndicate LLC doing business as Merus Protocol.

What We Collect
Information you provide directly: When you place an order, create an account, subscribe to emails or SMS, or contact support, you provide us with your name, email address, phone number, shipping address, billing address, and payment information. Payment details are processed securely by Shopify Payments and are never stored on our servers.
Information collected automatically: When you visit our website, we automatically collect your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and general geographic location. This data is collected through cookies and similar tracking technologies.
Information from third-party tools: We use Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel and Google Ads tracking to measure advertising performance. These tools may collect browsing behavior on our site to serve you relevant ads on their platforms. We use Klaviyo for email marketing and Onetext for SMS marketing, both of which store the contact information you provide when opting in.
How We Use Your Information
To fulfill your orders. Your name, address, and payment information are used to process, ship, and confirm your purchases. Your phone number may be used for delivery notifications.
To manage your subscription. If you subscribe, your payment and shipping information is stored securely by Kaching (our subscription platform) to process recurring orders on your chosen cadence. You can cancel, pause, or modify your subscription anytime in your account.
To communicate with you. We use Klaviyo to send order confirmations, shipping updates, and marketing emails you've opted into. We use Onetext to send SMS messages you've consented to receive. You can unsubscribe from either at any time.
To improve our website and advertising. We use Meta Pixel and Google Ads tracking to understand how customers find us, which ads are working, and how visitors interact with our site. This helps us reach more people who may benefit from the protocol.
To provide customer support. When you contact us, we use your order information and communication history to resolve your issue.
Who We Share Your Information With
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers necessary to operate our business:
Shopify — our e-commerce platform. Processes your orders and securely handles payment information.
Kaching — our subscription management platform. Stores payment and shipping information for recurring orders.
Klaviyo — our email marketing platform. Stores your email address and purchase history to send relevant communications.
Onetext — our SMS marketing platform. Stores your phone number and consent status to send text messages you've opted into.
Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google — our advertising platforms. Receive browsing and conversion data through tracking pixels to measure ad performance and serve relevant ads.
Shipping carriers — receive your name and shipping address to deliver your order.
Each of these providers is contractually bound to use your data only for the purposes described above and in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep items in your cart, analyze site traffic, and measure advertising performance.
Essential cookies are required for the site to function (cart, checkout, login). These cannot be disabled.
Analytics and advertising cookies are placed by Meta Pixel and Google Ads to track browsing behavior and ad performance. You can disable these through your browser settings or by using an ad blocker. Opting out of these cookies does not affect your ability to browse or purchase from our site.
Email and SMS Communications
Email: When you make a purchase or sign up for our email list, you'll receive order-related emails (confirmations, shipping updates, delivery notifications) and may receive marketing emails about the protocol, new content, and product updates. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. Order-related emails (confirmations, shipping, refund notifications) will continue regardless of your marketing preference.
SMS: We only send text messages if you explicitly opt in. SMS messages may include order updates, shipping notifications, and occasional marketing messages. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Standard messaging rates from your carrier may apply.
Phone number at checkout: We collect your phone number during checkout for delivery notifications and order-related communication. Providing your number does not automatically opt you into marketing SMS. Marketing SMS requires separate explicit consent.
Data Retention
We retain your order information for as long as necessary to fulfill our obligations, including the 365-day money-back guarantee period, tax reporting requirements, and legal compliance. For most customers, this means we retain order records for a minimum of 3 years after your last purchase.
If you request deletion of your personal information, we will remove it from our active systems within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (tax records, fraud prevention, legal disputes).
Email and SMS marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe, at which point your contact is removed from active marketing lists within 10 business days.
Your Rights
Regardless of where you live, you have the right to:
Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correction — request that we correct any inaccurate information.
Deletion — request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
Opt out of marketing — unsubscribe from emails or SMS at any time.
Opt out of tracking — disable analytics and advertising cookies through your browser settings.

California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
To submit a CCPA request, email support@merusprotocol.com with "CCPA Request" in the subject line. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days.
International Customers (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). These include the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object to processing.
Our legal basis for processing your data is: contract performance (fulfilling your order), legitimate interest (improving our service and advertising), and consent (marketing communications).

Age Restriction
Our products are intended for adults 21 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 21, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@merusprotocol.com.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. All transactions are processed through Shopify's PCI-DSS compliant payment infrastructure. We use SSL encryption across our entire site. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take every reasonable precaution, we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy as our business evolves or as legal requirements change. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of our site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
